The College Football Playoff Committee has released their weekly bracket for the CFP playoff. Lets see how it compares with my rankings.
The top four seeds are Ohio State, Indiana, Texas A&M and Georgia. I have a slight discrepancy there as I have Texas A&M at #5 because they’ve played the weakest SEC schedule. But I completely get them being the #3 seed in the playoff.
The playoff bracket has Ole Miss at #6 and Oregon at #7. Same here. They have Oklahoma at #8. I have Oklahoma at #11 and BYU at #8. They have Notre Dame at #9 and Alabama at #10. I have Alabama at #9 and Notre Dame at #12. They have Miami at #11. Not sure why they are keeping Miami in the bracket. I know they are the highest ranked ACC school but their chance of winning the ACC is small. They have Tulane as the #12 seed but JMU actually has the best chance of making the playoff from the G5 schools. I actually have four schools in the AAC ranked ahead of JMU. I have North Texas at #29 and Tulane at #32.
